Harley Recall for Sportster-S and Softail
HARLEY-DAVIDSON RECALLS
December was a tough month for Harley-Davidson with two factory recalls within a week.
In week 52 Harley Davidson issued a recall on Sportster S models with production dates between 8th December 2020 and 21st August 2025. The notice states “the upper triple clamp may fracture and lead to loss of control. This increases the risk of accidents and injuries.”
The Previous week recalls were issued for Softail models. Production dates 24 January 2017 – 13 December 2024.
The notice reads “the shock pre-load adjuster mounting bracket may break, causing the shock adjuster to come into contact with the tyre. There is a risk of sudden loss of air pressure and therefore an increased risk of accidents or injuries.”
If you ride either of those models your best bet is to get in touch with your local franchised Harley-Davidson dealer and let them confirm if you need to take action.
