Suzuki SV650

This bike was custom built by Evolution Motor Works and is based on a 2002 Suzuki SV650. We wanted to build a road bike with an off-road look and feel so we set about stripping all the fairings and plastics off the bike to reveal the beautiful trellis frame and V-Twin engine which had to take centre stage.

We removed the rear subframe and made a more compact and aggressive version which was bolted into the original mounting points on the main chassis. In terms of getting a proper Off-Road look, we turned to the KTM MotoX bikes for our styling.

We got our hands on a SX125 rear end and after making a few modifications to the plastics, we were able to get the tailpiece fitted to our new sub-frame to give us the arse up aggressive look.

The SV handles really well so we didn’t need to do much to make the standard SV work well. We rebuilt the forks, upgrading the springs and putting in a grade heavier oil to stiffen it up a little
