Kawasaki VN1500 Trike

This started out life as a VN1500 bike, a nice piece of kit in standard trim, but her owner wanted three wheels rather than two so it was swiftly modified into a trike. Truth be told, the original conversion wasn't up to much, so we locked it in the workshop and reworked it from front to back with independent rear suspension and a nice diff to make it run correctly at motorway speeds.

Up front we fabricated offset front yokes with built in 7 degree rake to lighten the steering and make the trike more usable for daily riding.

We made the rear guards out of one-piece stainless steel, just because everyone said it couldn't be done!

We fabricated a new exhaust which exits under the seat. It looks and sounds awesome with a polished stainless steel drip-tray covering the rear diff.

We grafted the rear end of a Kawasaki ZX636 on to the rear, to give it a trim look. We fabricated a luggage rack to replace the pillion seat, so the owner could still tie a tent to the back end. 

Wide and mean, her owner has driven thousands of miles on her, and it still turns heads wherever she goes.
